Amy Finkelstein is a professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Amy Finkelstein is very busy since she is the co-Director of the Public Economics Program at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a member of the Institute of Medicine and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a Fellow of the Econometric Society, and the co-Scientific Director of J-PAL North America.
I did not know of Amy Finkelstein prior to the start of this class. Her work is important regarding public finance and health economics.

Amy Finkelstein is a Clark Medal winner (2012). She is the second female economist to win that award, which is for the best American economist under the age of 40. It is a very prestigious award. Many of the winners of the Clark Medal have gone on to win the Nobel Prize in Economics.
